Scenic drives through Greece

Greece is a country to discover by rental car: every island is a world of its own, with mountain villages, ancient cities, monastery coasts and hidden coves. These are our 10 measured and curated scenic drives through Greece, around Crete, Rhodes and the Ionian islands Corfu, Kefalonia, Zakynthos and Lefkada. You drive every loop from your own location, so it starts at your hotel and brings you back.

What we weigh more heavily for a Greek route: the most beautiful road instead of the fastest, recognisable stops that carry the drive, and honest, measured figures. Every route is measured by us and curated by hand; driving it comes next (July 2026). How we put our routes together.

Frequently asked questions

Which Greek island can I explore by car?

Crete, Rhodes and the Ionian islands Corfu, Kefalonia, Zakynthos and Lefkada are all worth it. Crete has three loops (west, east and central); the other islands one grand island loop each. You drive them from your own hotel or villa.

Can you drop a rental car on another island?

No, you cannot: each island is a separate rental. You pick the car up on the island itself (usually at the airport or in the capital) and return it there. Between islands you travel by plane or ferry, without the car.

Are the routes and exports free?

Yes. Viewing the routes, generating them from your own starting point and exporting to GPX or Google Maps are free, with a small Touren.app mark.
