Privacy statement
Touren.app plans beautiful routes for convertibles, motorbikes and campers. We are careful with your data: you can use the planner without an account, and whatever can stay on your own device, stays there.
Who is responsible
Touren.app is the controller for this website. Contact: info@touren.app. Company details (legal form and registration number) will appear here once registration is complete.
What we process and why
Route planning. When you enter a starting point and destination, we send those place names or coordinates to our own routing engine to calculate the route, and to a geocoding service (MapTiler or OpenStreetMap Nominatim) to turn the place name into coordinates. We do not build a profile of you and do not link this input to your identity; standard server logs (with IP address) are kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.
Maps. The maps come from MapTiler. Your browser fetches the map images directly from MapTiler, which therefore sees your IP address, as with any image a website loads. Map data: © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Your location. The "My location" and "Near me" buttons only ask your browser for your location after you click them. The location is used in your browser to centre the map or fill in your starting point and is not stored by us.
Saved routes. "Save route" stores the route in your own browser's localStorage. That data never leaves your device and you delete it yourself, via the remove button or your browser settings.
Statistics. We use Google Tag Manager to measure visits. Consent is off by default (Consent Mode v2: all storage categories denied); without your consent no advertising or analytics cookies are set. If we introduce a consent banner later, we will ask first.
Mail. "Mail this route" opens your own email app; we do not receive or store an email address. Email you send to info@touren.app yourself is kept as long as needed to handle it.
What we do not do
No accounts, no selling of data, no advertising profiles, no location history. We process data within the EU or with providers offering appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data. Email info@touren.app. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Changes
This statement may change as the service grows (for example with accounts or paid services). The date at the top is the version date.
