The most beautiful drive on Ibiza
A 144 km loop around the whole island, past the eight finest places on Ibiza: from the fortress town of Dalt Vila and the salt flats of Ses Salines to the mystical rock of Es Vedrà, the highest point Sa Talaia and the north coast at Portinatx. For the rental car, convertible or motorbike.
We open Google Maps with the drive from your location, around the whole loop and back. Your location stays on your device.

The whole island in one day, from fortress to rock
Ibiza is far more than clubs: it is a small, dramatic island with a UNESCO fortress town, hidden coves, pine forests, salt flats and one of the best-known rocks in the Mediterranean. This drive strings together the eight finest places in a single loop of about 144 kilometres, with the sea almost always in view. You start and finish in Eivissa, so you come back to where you began.
Unique to Touren.app: you need not start in Eivissa. Tap "drive as a round trip from your location" and we rotate the loop so it starts at the point nearest your hotel or villa and brings you back. Everyone drives the same beautiful route, but from their own front door.

The 8 places along the route
1. Dalt Vila (Eivissa)
Dalt Vila is the old upper town of Eivissa: a pristine, walled Renaissance fortress high above the harbour, a World Heritage Site since 1999. Behind the Portal de ses Taules, cobbled lanes wind up to the cathedral, with views over the sea at every turn. A strong start before you head out onto the island.
Practical: park down by the harbour and walk up; the upper town is low-traffic.
2. Ses Salines
Ses Salines is the nature park at the southern tip: centuries-old salt pans that turn pink, flamingos, pine woods and the island's finest beaches (Ses Salines and Es Cavallet). The road runs between the salt lakes to the beach, with aircraft passing low overhead.
Practical: paid parking at the beaches in summer; go early for the calm.
3. Cala d'Hort (Es Vedrà)
From Cala d'Hort and the viewpoint by the Torre des Savinar you look out over Es Vedrà: a bare, 400-metre rock rising straight from the sea, uninhabited and wrapped in legends of the goddess Tanit and the sirens of Odysseus. At sunset this is one of the finest spots in the Mediterranean.
Practical: park at the mirador and walk a short way for the best view; come before sunset.
4. Sa Talaia
Sa Talaia (Sa Talaiassa), at 475 metres, is the highest point of Ibiza, in the green interior near Sant Josep. From the top you have a 360-degree view over the whole island, the sea and, on clear days, as far as Formentera on the horizon. The climb through the pine woods is lovely in itself.
Practical: the final stretch is an unpaved track; park where you can and walk the last ten minutes up.
5. Santa Agnès de Corona
At Santa Agnès de Corona lies the "Gate of Heaven", the viewpoint above the Ses Balandres cliffs, with the Ses Margalides islets out at sea. Around it stretches the quiet almond-blossom valley of the Pla de Corona, which turns white and pink in late January. One of the calmest, loveliest corners of the island.
Practical: park in the village; narrow footpaths lead to the cliff edge (stay on the paths).
6. Portinatx
Portinatx is the northernmost resort of Ibiza, with three sheltered bays and the tallest lighthouse in the Balearics, the Far des Moscarter. The road there winds through the pine forests of the north; the s'Arenal Gros bay is a calm spot for a swim or a lunch by the water.
Practical: ample parking by the bays; a short walk to the lighthouse.
7. Puig de Missa (Santa Eulària)
In Santa Eulària des Riu, on a hill, stands the Puig de Missa: a white, fortified 16th-century church built against the pirates. From the churchyard you look out over the town, the river and the sea. A fine, authentic contrast to the bustle of the coast.
Practical: the road winds up to a small car park by the church.
8. Cala Llonga
Cala Llonga closes the loop: a long, sheltered bay between wooded hills on the east coast, with a mirador on the road above looking out over the whole inlet. A last view of the coast before you drive back to Eivissa and Dalt Vila in half an hour.
Practical: stop at the viewpoint above the bay; parking by the beach below.
Practical: for the rental car, convertible and motorbike
From which place: the route starts in Eivissa, but you need not start there. Tap "drive as a round trip from your location" and Touren.app rotates the loop to the point nearest your hotel or villa, so you set off from your own front door and return to it.
For which vehicle: the coast and inland roads of Ibiza are a joy in a rental car, and all the more in a convertible or on a motorbike. Mind the narrow village centres and the unpaved final metres to Sa Talaia.
Best time: May, June and September are ideal: warm, but calmer than high summer. In July and August set off early, as beaches and car parks fill quickly. For Es Vedrà, come towards sunset.
Respect the island: Ses Salines and the Santa Agnès cliffs are protected nature. Stay on the roads and paths, take your litter with you and park only in the proper places.

How long is the most beautiful drive on Ibiza?
About 144 kilometres, with around 3 hours and 42 minutes of pure driving, measured via Google Maps. With beaches, viewpoints and a sunset at Es Vedrà it is a full, beautiful day.
Can I drive the route from my own hotel or villa?
Yes, and that is the unique part: tap "drive as a round trip from your location" and Touren.app rotates the loop so it starts at the nearest point and ends back at you. So you need not go to Eivissa first.
Which places do you see on the way?
Dalt Vila (UNESCO), the salt flats of Ses Salines, the rock of Es Vedrà at Cala d'Hort, the highest point Sa Talaia, the cliffs of Santa Agnès, Portinatx on the north coast, the Puig de Missa in Santa Eulària and the bay of Cala Llonga.
Is the route suitable for a rental car?
Yes. Almost all of it is paved road; only the final stretch to the summit of Sa Talaia is unpaved, so there you park and walk the last bit.
Are the exports really free?
Yes, free with a Touren.app credit on them. You never pay us for exports.
